About Mareto

We're on a mission to transform how real estate transactions get done.

A home changes hands roughly every ten seconds in this country, and almost none of it runs on software built for the person doing the work. We think that's the largest unglamorous opportunity in the industry — and we intend to take it.

The mission

The agent is the last generalist in a trillion-dollar business. They are the marketer, the designer, the project manager, the negotiator, the therapist, and — somewhere around eleven at night — the person exporting the JPEGs. The tools they've been given carve that job into a dozen logins that don't speak to each other.

We started Mareto with the marketing, because it's the part clients see and the part agents lose the most nights to. Give it an address and it returns the whole package: a listing website, a brochure laid out for print, a social kit, and a workspace the seller can open on their phone — all on your brand, all in one place.

The listing is the project. Everything attached to it — the site, the print, the client, the numbers — should live in one place and stay in sync.

But the marketing is the opening move, not the destination. Every listing carries a transaction behind it, and that transaction is still held together by attachments, group texts, and a spreadsheet somebody forgot to update. We're building toward the version where all of it runs in one place, from the appointment to the closing table.

What we believe

Three convictions we're not going to trade away.

01

Presentation is part of the price

How a property is presented changes how it's valued — by buyers, and by the sellers choosing who gets the listing.

02

Speed without a downgrade

Fast usually means generic. We spend the extra engineering to make the ninety-second version the one you'd have chosen anyway.

03

The agent stays the author

Mareto drafts; you decide. Nothing reaches a client until you send it. We remove the production work, never the judgment.

Where we're going

One home base, from the first appointment to the closing table.

Picture the version where an address is the only thing you ever type. The marketing builds itself. The seller opens one link and sees everything happening on their behalf. The paperwork, the vendors, the deadlines, and the money all sit in the same place as the photos. Nothing is re-keyed, nothing goes stale, and the agent gets to spend the day being the reason the deal happens. We're a few chapters in — but that's the book.

We're a small, remote, design-obsessed team, and we hire rarely and carefully.
